BOSTON, March 13, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — While broadcast travel expert radio show host Stephanie Abrams meets Ireland’s tourism leaders to discuss potential locations for the Euro-American Women’s Council’s (EAWC) 2011 Goddess Artemis Awards and the induction of members into the EAWC Hall of Fame, the organization’s founder, Loula Loi Alafoyiannis, is in New York City where she received the Woman of the Year Award from the Association of Greek American Professional Women.EAWC’s mission is to strengthen the status of women in the global marketplace by building strategic alliances between women in business and prominent leaders across the globe. A variety of leaders in business and politics were on hand in NYC to celebrate the occasion of the presentation of Alafoyiannis’ award. Featured speaker at this momentous event was Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY).

Abrams, honored in 2010 with the Goddess Artemis Award and induction into the EAWC Hall of Fame, broadcasts her radio shows, Travelers411 and Travel WITH Stephanie Abrams, coast-to-coast every weekend with five hours of new travel-intensive programming. She expressed joy and pride in the Woman of the Year honor bestowed on the EAWC’s founder and president, regret that she could not be at the March 8th NYC event, and glee that the reason she was not present is that she is once again in Ireland, the place Abrams describes as, “joyous, uplifting, inspiring and life-altering!”

While in Ireland, Abrams is meeting with key tourism leaders at the Irish Hotels Federation Conference at the Slieve Russell Spa & Golf Hotel in County Cavan, and visiting resorts, manor houses, castle hotels, and attractions that make up a significant part of the uniqueness and allure of Ireland. Abrams will have the honor of meeting Ireland’s President Mary McAleese this week. “Frankly, it’s enough just to be in Ireland!” Abrams states. “But when you add in the experience of mingling with the hotel-members at the Irish Hotel Federation’s annual conference, learning about their upcoming events, programs, projects and special offers that fit into my “Erin Go Now!” concept that reminds my audience you can find incredibly affordable rates right now and throughout the year at places providing fairytale experiences plus having the privilege of being invited to meet President Mary McAleese, well, that’s the cake and the icing too! I am thrilled!”

Abrams’ suggestion that the EAWC’s 15th Annual Conference be held in Ireland has been embraced by the organization’s leadership. Abrams is meeting Irish leaders regarding prestigious venues for the Goddess Artemis Awards and the EAWC Hall of Fame Induction.”Irish hospitality, charming lodgings, gorgeous landscapes and seascapes, historic sites and ease of access and affordability make Ireland the perfect venue for this year’s events. I am pleased to be the catalyst to get the EAWC and Ireland together!” Abrams concludes.
