Global Kids Advances to Next Round in Chase Community Giving Competition � Calls on Supporters to Vote Again

NEW YORK CITY, May 19, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Global Kids (www.globalkids.org), the premier non-profit educational organization for global learning and youth development, continues to win new support based on backing from its online friends.



Global Kids is now eligible to win up to 0,000 in round two of the Chase Community Giving Facebook contest after it won ,000 in round one last month.



“Help us expand Global Kids award-winning youth leadership programs by voting today. The funds we hope to raise in this competition will help us expand our programs in New York City and Washington, D.C., and send Global Kids youth to Brazil and Kenya this summer, and more,” says Evie Hantzopoulos, Executive Director, Global Kids.



To vote, supporters should go to http://ping.fm/9jFDa and click the “like” button at the top of the page. Then, they should go to http://ping.fm/JbP4H and click on the “vote and share” button. Afterwards, they’re urged to post a comment on the page to let others know they voted.



Supporters should also update their Facebook status and Twitter feed in order to inform others.



“If you have 30 extra seconds, please vote for our partner youth organizations: Youth Service America, Spartanburg Charter School, and SOAR Charter Academy. Make sure to comment on their walls to let them know your vote is coming from a GK supporter,” says Hantzopoulos.
