RDA Microelectronics Announces Key Customer Win in South Korea

SHANGHAI, July 26, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — RDA Microelectronics (Nasdaq:RDA), a fabless semiconductor company specializing in RF (radio frequency) and mixed signal chips for cellular, broadcast and connectivity applications, today announced that Samsung has designed RDA8207 TD-SCDMA transceiver into their mobile phone product.�The RDA8207 chipset provides a highly integrated complete solution connecting antenna to baseband for the TD-SCDMA standard, thereby eliminating the expensive external RF component.

The RDA8207 chipset provides a complete solution connecting antenna to baseband for the TD-SCDMA standard, eliminating the expensive IF SAW filter. The chipset consists of the RDA8207 transceiver, the RDA8252 power amplifier for TD-SCDMA, and the RDA ES11 TX/RX switch. �All of the sizeable components, such as the RF VCO (Voltage Controlled, Oscillator) loop filters, and tuning inductors, are completely integrated on the chip.
