COLUMBUS, Ohio, Aug. 5, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Football is back, and Beer Tubes™ now have six football-themed designs ready to tackle the thirst of gridiron fans throughout America. The tubes have earned a “starting position” with bar and restaurant owners across the country, because the 100-ounce beverage dispensers increase draft beer sales and serve as the centerpiece attraction for groups gathering to view sporting events. Beer Tubes’ patented sports-themed bases hold a clear tube made of BPA-free, Eastman Tritan™ polycarbonate to keep beverages colder longer. A built-in tap allows patrons to self-serve at their table.

“Customers often report double and triple-digit increases in draft beer sales, just from adding tubes to their menu,” said David Stein, president, Beer Tubes. “The tubes drive repeat business and groups tend to stay longer and eat more, especially on football Saturdays and Sundays.” A Beer Tube of domestic draft beer typically sells for about to , and some establishments pair a tube of beer with food specials, like wings or pizza, to offer “game day specials.”

Beer Tubes are the only self-serve dispensers that feature a sports-themed base. “We have a lot of football and soccer fans, so we have both models,” said Mel Martinez, area director for the Texas-based Ojos Locos restaurant chain. “We added the baseball tubes when the Texas Rangers went to the World Series, and now customers order Beer Tubes based on which sport they’re watching.”

More than 25 Beer Tube base designs are available, including a conic base that can be customized with text and graphics. Football designs include helmet bases in red, white, blue, grey and black, as well as a football-shaped base. Each can be customized with a bar’s name, decals or other promotional message.

Major brewers, including Anheuser-Busch, are using Beer Tubes to anchor promotions for major league sports. MillerCoors distributors recently ordered hockey, football and baseball tubes for use in promotional programs.Other brands such as Dos Equis and Tecate are using tubes as a branding vehicle at the point of sale.

Each tube consists of a base, tube and tap, and all parts are modular every tube fits in any base, and every tap attaches to any tube. Beer Tubes also has a complete line of cleaning products including brushes, cleaning agents and drying racks to keep tubes in top shape. Beer Tubes sell for about 0, and the company offers discounts for quantity orders.
