PHOENIX, June 15, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The Better Living Club, presented by Banner MediSun, is holding its premier event on June 21, 2011 from 7 � 8:30 p.m. at the Arizona Golf Resort in the East Valley. The Better Living Club is built around the interests and lifestyle of people 60+, offering a mix of fun and topical events, cooking demonstrations, volunteer activities and discounts. The debut program is Making The Most of Your Smile, featuring Phoenix Magazine’s No. 1 dentist, Dr. Sheldon Sullivan, DDS. Dr. Sullivan will present information on the latest advances in smile design, including veneers and whitening techniques. Makeup artist Debbie Verver will give advice on the best ways to use cosmetics to enhance your smile, with special tips for both men and women.
In addition, the Better Living Club chef, Maya Nahra will preview her July cooking demonstration with a tasting of one of the dishes she plans to prepare. Chef Maya, who recently launched her own brand, Intentful Chef, will be a big part of the Better Living Club, providing cooking demonstrations on creating food that is both healthy and delicious. She will also provide original recipes and healthy makeovers to old favorites.
In August, the Better Living Club will organize a volunteer activity for club members who want to give back to the community in an enjoyable social setting.
Club members will also receive a discount packet with discounts for services and activities. The first packet will include discounts for services with Dr. Sullivan, cosmetics coupons and a special offer from the Arizona Rattlers.
