DALLAS, June 28, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — For the past four years, Certified Payment Processing (CPP) has participated in “Comfy Clothes Campaign, an annual fundraiser for the American Heart Association. Those who donate are allowed to wear casual clothing not normally in the dress code policy, including shorts, t-shirts and sandals.

In previous years CPP and the three sales divisions, TransTech Merchant Group, ISIS Direct and Summit Merchant Solutions, set aside the month of August for the fundraiser, but this year it’s being extended to include July as well.

Last year, more than seventy percent of our employees signed up,” say Tony Norrie, Vice President and General Manager. “And since we began participating, we’ve raised over ,000. By extending the campaign this year, we hope to double that amount.”

CPP, a leading merchant services provider of electronic payment equipment for purchases made by debit cards and credit cards, has more than 300 employees in Carrollton, Texas, as well as hundreds of sales associates in the field throughout the country.

“The Heart Association does great work, and we’re honored to help,” say Norrie. “Employees can donate fifty dollars for each month they participate, and be allowed to dress casually every day. We make it easier by doing the donation by payroll deduction.”

Also during the two-month campaign, important messages about heart health will be emphasized, using newsletters, e-mails and poster to provide the CPP team with useful tools for heart-healthy living.

From the American Heart Association website: Cardiovascular disease is the nation’s number one killer. The American Heart Association invests more than 2 million a year (.2 billion since 1949) in heart and stroke research.
