GREENVILLE, S.C., May 31, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — eRAD, a division of RadNet, Inc. (Nasdaq:RDNT), an industry leader in Web-based RIS, PACS and Teleradiology solutions, announced today the successful installation of its software at White Mountain Radiology located in Show Low, Arizona.

White Mountain Radiology (WMR), a five-person radiology group based in Show Low provides primary reading services to multiple hospitals and imaging centers throughout Northeast Arizona. Given the broad geography covered and the 24/7 nature of care delivered to many of these facilities WMR uses a hybrid model of onsite and remote reading to provide coverage.

Jay Pringle, M.D. President of White Mountain Radiology said, “When we signed our latest client, Ts’ehootsoo’i Medical Center in Fort Defiance, Arizona, we knew we needed a solution that would allow us to read remotely.Additionally, we wanted a partner that would grow with us.The eRAD solution allows us to read from any location, create a final report using integrated Speech Recognition and deliver that report electronically via an HL7 interface to the hospital’s HIS system.”Pringle continued, “We were under a severe time crunch and eRAD was able to get us installed and integrated within our time commitment to Fort Defiance.Although the eRAD system is cloud-based, our installation has the added benefit a local server that allows us to keep reading in the event of a network outage. This is extremely important given our commitment to covering emergent cases originating in the ER.Having a cloud-based solution made eRAD an easy choice as it allows us to focus on our business — providing high quality reads in a timely manner — and not dealing with the upfront cost and burden of the IT infrastructure.”
